Day 1
  • Edinburgh

Arrival in Edinburgh in the morning. The guide will meet you at the station and take you to the best fish restaurant Ondine for lunch.

After lunch – a sightseeing tour of Edinburgh with a visit to Edinburgh Castle, where the national shrines of Scotland are kept – the scepter, the crown and the famous stone of fate. You will also see the oldest building in Edinburgh – the 12th century St. Margaret’s Chapel, the 19th century prison, the local Tsar Cannon One-o-clock-gun.

In the evening – a visit of the national restaurant in Edinburgh The Witchery by the Castle. The restaurant has repeatedly taken the most prestigious places in competitions for cooking and serving.

Accommodation at the Rocco Forte Collection – The Balmoral Hotel 5***** Deluxe.

For fans of the famous J.K. Rowling and the hero of her Harry Potter books, the latest book “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” was written in one of the hotel suites.

Day 2
  • Rosslyn

Breakfast in the hotel.

Visiting the chapel in the village of Rosslyn.

A masterpiece of Masonic architecture of the 15th century, the chapel, covered from top to bottom with carvings on white stone, with many still unsolved symbols, became famous because of the book and film The Da Vinci Code (according to the author, it was here, where the Holy Grail was found).

Melrose Abbey 

The ruins of an ancient abbey from the 12th century, where the heart of one of the most famous Scottish kings, Robert Bruce, is buried. The scope, the elegance of the preserved buildings and the many carved Masonic symbols are striking.

 

On the same day, you can include the Trakware fortress house with an old brewery and labyrinth, the castle house of the creator of modern Scotland Walter Scott, Glenkinchy whiskey production and other attractions to the program.

The third object will ideally complement the program of the day.

Return to Edinburgh on this day.

 

Day3
  • Inverness

Breakfast in the hotel.

On this day, by a plan – an early departure and a long journey to the north. The path lies through the famous bridges of the royal crossing over the Ford Fjord (included in the UNESCO list), then by the route is the capital of Fife – the former capital of jute, jam and journalism Dundee.

Dunnottar Castle

It seems as if the place where the Scottish Dunnottar Castle is located was created by nature itself in order to build an impregnable fortress here. A rocky plateau with an area of ​​just over a hectare at a height of almost 50 meters is surrounded by the sea and is connected to the main part of the land by a narrow path.

Further, the path leads through the deserted hills of the Cairngorms National Park to the castle of Macbeth Cawdor. This is a luxurious manor house, which has the outlines of a castle due to its attractive tower. And the legends associated with this place put Cawdor on a par with the most famous medieval buildings in Scotland.

Day4
  • Inverness

This day we will go to the islands – the land of northern people and Vikings

Departure in the morning by ferry from Gills Bay to Orkney. Visit of the Italian Church, the Churchill Barrier and the capital of the Kirkwall Islands with the medieval Cathedral of St. Mangus, the castles of the Earls of Orkney and the Bishop. Neolithic monuments included in the UNESCO list (Ring of Brodgar, the village of Skara Brae, etc.), brochs and Viking settlements from the Orkney Saga.

Return to the mainland by ferry and back to Inverness.

Day 5
  • Loch Ness lake

Meeting with a guide in the hotel lobby in the morning and tour to the Loch Ness.

Lake Loch Ness 

The famous mysterious lake, located in the Scottish highlands, with beautiful landscapes and the legendary inhabitant – the monster Nessie. There is a whole center,dedicated to this monster, where films and photographs are shown. There are eyewitnesses who claim to have seen the famous monster that still lives in the lake. You can take an hour cruise from the northern, southern ports and the port at the visitor center (west coast, near Urquhart Castle).

Road to Skye through Elean Donan Castle 

A great journey to the Isle of Skye, known for its beauty, and numerous cafes and restaurants serving the freshest seafood. Guests will see the castle of Elan Donan, drive along the road crowned with mountain peaks and will get to the island along the highway. On arrival, straight visit of the McDonald and MacLeod Park to learn about the history of the country’s two main clans. On the same day we will visit Dunvegan Castle, the castle of the Macleod clan. Stop in the capital of the island, the city of Portree.  Moving to the capital of the island Portree.

Day 6
  • Trossachs National Park

A moving southwest through the Trossachs National Park. The next point of the program on this day will be the Glencoe Valley, known not only for its beauty, but also for its bloody history. One of the iconic places of the country!

Trossachs National Park

It is considered the fourth largest park in the UK. Its total area is almost 2000 sq. km. The main attraction of the park is the unique unspoilt nature of Scotland, which can be admired by walking along convenient footpaths. The Trossax is called the Lake District of Scotland. There are numerous lakes, mountains and waterfalls in the park.

The park unites four zones: Loch Lomond – the largest lake in Scotland; Trossax; Breedalbane and the oldest reserve in the UK, Argyll. Loch Lomond is an important natural attraction in Scotland. This lake has about 30 islands.

The amazing beauty of the landscapes of the Trossax park was sung by Walter Scott in his works. Because of his songs, Scotland owes its fame and popularity among tourists.

The national park is home to many birds, mammals, several hundred species of a wide variety of plants grow there. For nature lovers, this is a real paradise.

Glasgow 

One of the largest and most picturesque Scottish lakes, located near Glasgow. The Scots believe that King Arthur lived here! Stop in the coastal village of Lass, which has retained its ancient appearance. You can take a one-hour pleasure cruise from one of the two ports.

Overnight in Troon. Next day transfer to the Isle of Arran 

 

Day 7
  • Isle of Arran

Isle of Arran – is a Scotland in miniature. Guests will travel from Ardrossan to isla by ferry at 9.45. See the Brodick Castle.

Visitors of the castle are offered to look at the valuable collections of artifacts representing almost 600 years of its history, which is inseparable from the history of the famous owners of the castle – the Dukes of Hamilton. From the castle you can enjoy scenic views of Brodick Bay and the Ayrshire coast.

Further, the road around the northern half of the island past local cheese factories and natural cosmetics, a brewery, a distillery, Lochranz Castle, an inflorescence of Neolithic stone circles.

Return to Troon by a ferry.

 

Day 8
  • Alloway

This day we will dedicate to the poet, Robert Burns and visit the village of Alloway, where he was born. To the south of Glasgow is the town of Alloway, where the very first house (now a museum) of the revered Scottish poet “Robbie Burns” is located, whose birthday (January 25) is widely celebrated by Scots around the world with the traditional “Burns dinner”. Nearby is the Tarn O’Shanter Experience museum, which visually represents the county of Ayrshire in the 18th century.

Also a visit Kalain Castle and deer park.

Day 9
  • Edinburgh

Breakfast in the hotel.

Transfer to Edinburgh airport.  Departure to London by morning plane.
